Jaimi St. John joins the CIA faculty after having graduated from the college in 2010 and previously worked as an assistant culinary educator and MIT at CIA. Her expertise and passion unite at the intersection of sustainable business strategy and customer-centric culinary innovation.
Jaimi is currently vice president, FoodX at Nextbite after having served as vice president of culinary innovation at Everytable in Los Angeles, CA. Other previous experience includes leadership positions at a number of widely acclaimed brands, including director of innovation and category growth for Panera Bread Company and program manager, culinary innovation at Chipotle Mexican Grill, both in New York City. She was also assistant education coordinator at the Institute of Culinary Education in New York City and a chef for the Rome Sustainable Food Project at the American Academy in Rome, Italy. In 2016, she was selected to travel to Italy as the USA Delegate representing the country’s food system at the Terra Madre Sustainability Forum.
In addition to her CIA associate degree, Jaimi received an MA in Food Systems from New York University in New York City and a bachelor’s in Sports Management from Florida State University in Tallahassee, FL. She earned HACCP Manager, Food Safety certification from the National Environmental Health Association and is a ServSafe Manager certified by the National Restaurant Association. She is a Certified Personal Trainer through the National Academy of Sports Medicine as well.
