Master’s student JB Douglas shares his personal experience and genuine advice about CIA’s Sustainable Food Systems graduate degree program.


JB Douglas is a current student in our Sustainable Food Systems master’s degree program. Now in his second year of the program, JB’s professional background includes diverse work experience as a forager, recipe developer, private chef, and food writer and photographer.

During a recent social media takeover, JB took us through a day in the life of a CIA master’s student. In this series of videos, he shares details about the program, how he handles life/work balance, and why he decided to pursue a graduate degree to further his career. He also discusses the planning of his final Capstone project, his plans post-graduation, and the real reasons he chose CIA.
