Scott Allmendinger has been a dishwasher, chef, teacher, journalist, media executive, and consultant. Over 25 years he developed growth strategies for publications such as Restaurant Business, Restaurants & Institutions, FSR, and FoodService Director magazines and their associated event and digital brands. His teams have been recognized by Forbes, Folio, and American Business Media.
During this time, he wrote about and collaborated with some of the world’s leading food companies and their agencies on marketing and brand strategy.
Most recently, Allmendinger acted as VP of global sales for Leanpath—a SaaS technology company and Certified B Corp that works with foodservice companies to prevent food waste. Prior to that, he was director of CIA Consulting—a group he co-founded in 2002.
An early board member of the Women’s Foodservice Forum and past president of the International Foodservice Editorial Council, he also served on CIA’s Educational Policy Committee as the curriculum underwent extensive changes, including its current emphasis on wellness and global cuisines.
Allmendinger attended Phillips Exeter Academy and Middlebury College, where he graduated cum laude and was awarded high honors in English Literature. He lives on the coast of Maine with his wife, rescue dog, and five small boats.
