Cleveland Justis

Cleveland Justis is currently the director of the Executive Leadership Program at UC Davis. An accomplished organizational leader in the environmental and entrepreneurial arenas for the past 20 years, Cleveland is also a principal at the Potrero Group, and teaches the Social Entrepreneurship course at UC Berkeley. Cleveland has deep experience in business planning for ventures of all types and has served as the director or founder for numerous social ventures. Throughout his career he has helped hundreds of entrepreneurs refine their visions and develop successful ventures. Cleveland has a deep passion for local food and farming and has led a number of initiatives encouraging large institutions to purchase food from family farms.

Cleve studied biology and environmental sciences at Swarthmore College and the University of California, Berkeley. He received his MBA in strategic management and finance at the UC Davis Graduate School of Management, and a PhD in Social Entrepreneurship at UC Davis. Cleveland currently serves as a trustee of the Marin Community Foundation. He formerly served on the board of directors of Net Impact, and as a commissioner of the Marin County Parks and Open Space Commission.
