As proprietor and co-founder of Artisan Wine Shop in Beacon, NY, Timothy Buzinski has been a leader in the Hudson Valley wine scene since 2006. Many of his staff members are fellow CIA graduates and have collectively worked in the wine and restaurant industry for decades. In addition to his teaching duties at CIA, Timothy has also been a drink columnist for The Valley Table in Beacon.

He has held a variety of beverage industry positions during his career, including sommelier/restaurant manager at The Roundhouse by Terrance Brennan in Beacon, sales representative: Westchester County for The Little Wine Company in New York City, and regional sales manager: New York, New Jersey, and Connecticut for Robert Kacher Selections in Washington, DC.

Other experience includes education and training assistant director/fine wine manager at Charmer Industries in Astoria, NY and salesperson/buyer (Spain, Portugal, South America), chef, and tasting coordinator for 67 Wine & Spirits in New York City. He started out in the kitchen as a line cook at Pesce and Legal Sea Foods, both in DC.

After receiving his CIA associate degree, Timothy earned a bachelor of arts from St. John’s University in Queens, NY. He also holds an Advanced Certificate from the Court of Master Sommeliers.
