Jen Clarke

Jen Clarke is the senior director of CIA’s School of Graduate Studies. In this role, Jen leads its administration and support operations which include finance and budgeting, accreditation, legal and policy compliance, human resources, oversight of curriculum design, development and course delivery, operations management, and student experience. She plays a key role in overall strategic planning, as well as partnership and business development for the programs of the School of Graduate Studies.

A distinguished leader in the nonprofit and higher education sectors, Jen has over 25 years of experience in organizational leadership, partnership cultivation, and market responsive programming.

Jen has held various leadership roles in higher education advancement, including as director of corporate and foundation relations at The Cooper Union as well as at Clarkson University both in New York State. Most recently, she was the executive director of One To World, a New York City-based nonprofit which fosters intercultural understanding by connecting local communities with international students and Fulbright scholars, while working in close partnership with over 40 colleges and universities.

Originally from Canada, Jen’s earlier career was spent in the Canadian Federal Government serving in their Environment and Human Resources Development departments as well as at the Canadian International Development Agency. Her experience there ranged from communications, to human rights and governance program management, to overall policy and planning.

Jen has presented at the World Bank, United Nations, Concordia Summit, and the Nissan Foundation Symposium, among others. She has served in officer roles on numerous intercultural education and food security nonprofit boards in Canada and the U.S. including her current appointment on the Board of Directors of One To World. Jen holds a bachelor’s degree in journalism with a double major in political science, and an MA both from Carleton University in Ottawa, Canada.
